Deangelo Ableidinger, born on February 2nd, 1996, in Sacramento, California, discovered his passion for art under the influence of his uncle, Jovan, who became a father figure after Deangelo's own father's untimely passing. Witnessing Jovan's late-night artistic pursuits, which involved drawing and producing music, left a lasting impression on Deangelo. He held Jovan's portrait of his father in high regard, considering it a meaningful homage to his father's legacy. Inspired by Jovan's work, Deangelo took up drawing himself.
Despite a challenging upbringing in a fractured family, Deangelo found solace in painting and singing. As a sophomore, he made the decision to leave high school and embark on a journey of artistic exploration, relying on Greyhound buses to traverse California and Nevada, gathering invaluable experiential knowledge along the way.
Over the course of the following decade, Deangelo developed a profound affinity for oil painting, using his art as a means to delve into subjects such as racial inequality, primal instincts, and survival. Straying from conventional paintbrushes, he adopted a tactile approach, utilizing his fingers to impart texture and depth to his creations. The distinctive use of his signature blue hue symbolizes the incomprehensible wonders of existence that transcend human understanding.
Deangelo's artistic philosophy emphasizes the significance of art as a reflection of the world we inhabit, rather than an escape from it. He firmly believes that by immersing ourselves in the natural world and contemplating its awe-inspiring aspects, we can draw inspiration to create something beautiful while simultaneously acknowledging life's harsh realities.
